AquaKids Sharks Swim Team and Swim School has been providing swimming programs in Miami since 1989. The stated mission is to provide the opportunity for swimmers to develop in a safe and nurturing environment and strive for excellence while acquiring skills to empower them in swimming and life. The program’s vision is to offer a place where every individual can learn to swim and then develop their skills to the highest level they strive to achieve in swimming at one location. All coaches are certified and have CPR/First Aid, and the program reports access to a comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches. AquaKids is a United States Swim School Association member and a USA Swimming Club member.

The program states that swimmers learn to swim the correct way the first time, with instruction that moves from initial water safety skills to proper and efficient stroke techniques, then training and racing skills. It describes its instruction as safe, caring, and professional, with a disciplined and fun learning environment, goal-driven and technique-oriented advancement, and a focus on building self-confidence while building skills. AquaKids offers high quality professional coaching, technique instruction, and training year-round for all ages from beginners to those striving for excellence, and notes that it teaches and develops swimmers while constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well-rounded aquatic program. The program also publishes Feeding Frenzy, an educational newsletter series that highlights training habits, nutrition, recovery, team culture, and communication, with the stated purpose of aligning swimmers, parents, and coaches around standards and mindsets for long-term growth in and out of the water.

The organization states that swimming is the most important skill a child can learn and that no other lesson or sport can save a child’s life. It also states that its staff of professional educators and certified coaches believe every child can learn to swim and achieve his or her goals, and that it provides assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time. The goal of all programs is described as giving every participant a chance to learn and improve swimming skills to achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. The program notes that its 2026 FUNdamental Swim Camp is open for registration on April 1st and that its Summer Swim School Lesson Program is opening soon.
