Miami Hoop School offers basketball training and basketball camp options that include year-round training and skill development. Players take part in detail oriented skill breakdown workouts that follow an innovative, mistake-driven training approach. The program uses an innovative basketball training curriculum where players are taught concepts that will help them train on their own, and sessions are structured so that players feel as if they are training alone in the gym with one of the trainers.

Founded in 2012 by Andrew Moran, Miami Hoop School is described as a premiere elite basketball training academy and basketball camp in South Florida with access to year-round training from some of the most well known trainers in the country. Andrew Moran is the founder and serves as an NBA Skills Coach and International clinician, and he is also the UM assistant coach and director of player development. His specialty is skill development, and he has been training since 2008. His coaching background includes serving as an assistant coach at Miami Senior High School in 2011 working on player development, head coach at Miami Christian High School where he led the Victors to a state championship in 2015, and Head Coach at Christopher Columbus High School from 2019–2025, where he won four state championships and the first national championship in school history. Miami Hoop School states that it seeks students looking for a serious basketball academy or camp to improve their skills.
One parent, Mike Pennie, reports that his son Luke has worked with many basketball trainers over six years and that Andrew Moran has had the greatest impact on his son. He states that Andrew has raised Luke’s level of play in all facets of the game, that Andrew’s instruction advances as Luke’s skill sets advance, and that Andrew challenges Luke with advanced skills while also working on the mental part of the game. He describes feeling lucky to have Andrew as a resource in South Florida and says he looks forward to Luke continuing to train with Andrew and to training at the new “Hoop School” facility in Three Lakes, which he describes as a one of a kind facility in South Florida.
