Florida Twirling Academy

Florida Twirling Academy offers classes that focus on baton twirling, basic dance skills, stretching, basic dance techniques, and baton skills. The program includes options such as Tiny Tots, Studio Classes, Elementary School classes, Recreation Class, and Teams, all centered on these specific activities.

Founded in 2000, Florida Twirling Academy states that its mission is to empower children by helping them build strength, resilience, and self-assurance through baton twirling. The program is known in Ocala and neighboring communities for baton twirling and basic dance skills and offers classes for every skill level beginning at age 2. Tiny Tots is specifically for girls ages 2.5 to 3.5 who are eager to learn new skills, while Studio Classes are for any girl who wants to learn baton skills, including those whose schools do not offer baton classes. Elementary School classes take place on the school campus after school hours and include stretching, basic dance techniques, and baton skills. Florida Twirling Academy also offers many performance opportunities, including community events, parades, and recitals, and its platform focuses on teamwork, great attitudes, and positive self-esteem.
