Florida Virtual School

Florida Virtual School offers Florida Virtual School Flex, with individual courses for Kindergarten through 12th grade. It also offers Florida Virtual School Full Time Public School for Kindergarten through 12th grade, a tuition-free online public school for Florida students that follows a fixed 180-day school year, and a Homeschool Path that uses Florida Virtual School courses to create or complement a homeschool curriculum.

About the provider

Florida Virtual School has been leading online education since 1997 and states that it has led Kindergarten through 12th online education for more than 25 years. It is fully accredited, accredited as a school district system by Cognia, and its schools are accredited by SACS CASI. The program also offers advisement services with certified counselors, 80+ student clubs, and student activities and events online and in person.

Public, private, charter, and homeschool students can enroll in FLVS Flex. Florida residents in Kindergarten–12th grade may enroll tuition-free in many offerings. School Choice Scholarship students may only enroll in individual courses (FLVS Flex) and are not eligible to enroll full-time simultaneously. Full Time Public School requires students to take all 6 courses through Florida Virtual School, not be enrolled in a traditional school or registered as a homeschool student, participate in state standardized testing, and follow a fixed school year schedule.
