Orlando Ballet School offers a range of dance experiences including the Balanchine Masterclass Weekend, Summer Intensive, Spring Break Camp, Half-Day Jr. Dance Camp, Fitness Thru Dance, Fitness & Dance Classes, and the FTD Spring Intensive. Older students can take part in the OBII Second Company program, which includes advanced training alongside the professional company, performance opportunities in school productions and company repertoire, and participation in community outreach engagements reaching over 50,000 local residents annually. Dancers can access the program and company through the Summer Intensive Audition Tour, Company Audition Tour, or video audition submissions.

Orlando Ballet School’s OBII Second Company program is the highest level of the school and bridges the Trainee Program and the professional company. Admission to Orlando Ballet’s Second Company program is by audition only for dancers ages 16 to 21, and OBII dancers receive a full tuition scholarship and stipend. Two-thirds of the current professional company are OBII alumni, and two-thirds of the professional company comprise OBII alumni. Candidates may audition during the Summer Intensive audition tour, the company audition tour, or submit a video audition, and final placement and scholarship decisions are made by the Artistic Director and Director of Education, with results communicated by mid to late July. The Summer Intensive Audition Tour begins in January, visits varying locations across the country, ends in late February, and pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
The instructional staff at Orlando Ballet School is trained with the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum and pedigreed European Methodology under the mentorship of internationally renowned instructors. Orlando Ballet is Central Florida’s only professional ballet company and is nationally recognized, offering a rich and diverse repertoire by celebrated choreographers. Orlando Ballet welcomes video audition submissions from dancers interested in joining its nationally acclaimed company and performing in a distinguished repertoire of classical and contemporary works. The organization states as its mission that, as Central Florida’s only professional ballet company, Orlando Ballet brings the transformative power of dance to the stage and the community.
