Orlando Ballet School offers dance training that includes Summer Dance Programs, a Summer Intensive, Fitness Thru Dance, a 5 Week Modern Workshop, a 5 Week Beginner Ballet Workshop, and a 5-Week Absolute Beginner Tap Workshop. The school is part of Orlando Ballet, whose mission is to entertain, educate and enrich through the highest quality of dance.

Orlando Ballet has a history that began in 1974 when the Performing Arts Company of Florida was formed, later becoming Southern Ballet Theatre in 1978 and then Orlando Ballet in 2002. The organization’s first outreach program, the STEPS program, launched in 1992, and Orlando Ballet School continues this focus on education and outreach. Harriett’s Orlando Ballet Centre opened in January 2020 as a dedicated facility, following construction that began in October 2018. Orlando Ballet is Central Florida’s only professional ballet company and has presented over 50 years of performances, artistic work, and community impact, including bold retellings of timeless classics and the premiere of Jorden Morris’ new production of The Nutcracker during Orlando Ballet’s 50th Anniversary Season in December 2023. Leadership roles include Jorden Morris named Artistic Director in August 2021, Chris Alloways-Ramsey named Director of Education in May 2024, and Bradley Renner named Executive Director in October 2024.
Orlando Ballet brings dance to the community through education and outreach offered by Orlando Ballet School and community programs, and it is dedicated to reflecting the stories and voices of the communities it serves.
