About

Camp CUBBER offers hands-on activities, games, field trips, and weekly experiences that include science, art, creative writing and reading, music, drama, and a game room. Campers take part in life skills activities, sports and recreation, STEM, time in a computer lab, and access to an arcade, as well as science shows, animal shows, magic shows, inflatables, and movie experiences on or off site. Many mornings begin with live kid’s style praise and worship music with a full band, crazy, silly, and interactive games, live and video recorded skits, and a short message or Bible story, and campers also have use of video game systems, iPads, and computers.

Camp CUBBER is Florida’s largest Christian summer day camp and is a ministry of Palm Harbor United Methodist Church. The 2026 camp theme is EPIC JOURNEY, and each week highlights a different literary style or format and focuses on a different character value. Camp CUBBER accepts students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade with age-appropriate classrooms and separate groups or rooms by grade, and targets teacher/student ratios of 1:18 on site and 1:9 offsite for summer 2026. Each group has at least three activities each week, including one off-site field trip, one on-site special activity, and one on-site camp spirit fun day, and campers go on a field trip each week as part of the camp experience. Students are transported to and from field trips on church 25-passenger shuttle buses, 11-passenger vans, or rented transportation, usually school buses and occasionally charter buses, with seat belts for all passengers. Camp begins many mornings with an opening session time that features moving, changing, or strobing theatrical lighting, live music, and a large audience that can be as many as 400–500 people in attendance.

The 2026 registration fee includes a camp t-shirt and camp backpack, which are issued on the first day of attendance. The 2026 weekly cost includes all field trips and activities, an afternoon snack, and a cheese pizza lunch on Fridays. Two forms of payment are accepted: EFT (electronic funds transfer) and Entire Summer Pre-Pay, with a 3% surcharge on Pre-Pay tuition payments made via credit card and no surcharge on Pre-Pay tuition payments made via cash, check, or money order. For 2026 cancellations, families who cancel by May 26 owe 50% tuition, and families who cancel after May 26 owe full tuition. Families must sign up for at least 3 or more weeks, some weeks may have a minimum total weeks requirement to be eligible, and campers must be enrolled in 6 or more total weeks to be eligible to register for session 9 (“Max Adventure week”).

Wait-list registrations are accepted on a walk-in basis Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM–10:30 AM and 3:30 PM–5:30 PM. No monies are collected for wait list only registration families until or unless a space becomes available, and families on the wait list are contacted if or when a space becomes available and have 48 hours to accept, with right of refusal. Camp CUBBER has been in business serving the families of north Pinellas and beyond for over 30 years.
