Camp CUBBER is described as Florida’s largest Christian summer day camp and is a ministry of Palm Harbor United Methodist Church, serving families of north Pinellas and beyond for over 30 years. Camp CUBBER accepts students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, with each grade in its own group and room, and most grade levels having multiple groups and rooms. For summer 2026, the camp is targeting teacher/student ratios of 1:18 on site and 1:9 offsite, with approximately 18 campers in each group on campus, and students are transported to and from field trips on church shuttle buses, vans, or rented transportation with seat belts for all passengers.

Each week has its own theme and includes one off-site field trip, one special on-site activity, and one on-site camp spirit fun day, plus a fun spirit day each week. The 2026 theme, “Epic Journey,” highlights a different literary style or format each week, and campers are told that every story, including their own, is part of a greater adventure designed by God. Camp CUBBER is a fast-paced summer camp with lots of transitions, and campers have use of screens and electronic devices such as video game systems, iPads, and computers in some rooms as part of the camp day.

Faith and character values are described as being part of the DNA of Camp CUBBER, with each week focusing on a different character value. Many mornings begin with an opening session that can include moving, changing, or strobing theatrical lighting, live music, games, skits, and a short message or Bible story, often led by Pastor Keith or other church and camp staff, with as many as 400–500 people in attendance. The leadership team named for the program includes Pastor Keith, Pastor Dave, and Rev. Cathy.
