Young At Art Museum Programs include hands-on activities such as Art Classes, STEAM Workshops, Artist Workshops, Teen Fashion Workshops, and Summer Artist Workshops led by local professionals including artists, musicians, and marine biologists. Families and children can take part in events and programs such as Picture Books & Picassos, Very Young At Art: Mommy & Me, Early Childhood Play Dates, Sensory Fun at YAA, Sensory Saturdays, Festival of the Arts, Family Comic Con, Rock'n Noon Year's Eve, and the immersive Creative Cathy's Art House maker exhibit. The programs also offer YAA Summer Camp, Camps, Summer Camp Open House, Summer Field Trips Everyday, field trips, Classroom Outreaches, Community Outreaches, Heal the Planet: The SEED Program workshops, the “SEA YAA” Mobile Museum underwater adventure, and Parties for Children, Teens & Adults that include an art workshop with a take-home project and two party hosts.

• Schedule: Program offerings include regular museum hours Wednesday–Sunday 11:00am to 6:00pm, Summer Field Trips Everyday, recurring weekly and monthly workshops, and seasonal camps and events throughout the year.
• Price: $25 OFF each week with code: SAVESUM (valid through May 31st, not combinable), $20 OFF with code: GIFTYAA, museum admission discounted to $5 for the day during Festival of the Arts, and $50 for a table with two chairs to sell art or merchandise at Family Comic Con.
Young At Art Museum Programs are part of Young At Art Museum (YAA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural institution in Broward County and the only children’s art museum in Broward County. YAA’s mission is to enrich the community through artistic, interactive experiences for all ages which inspire creativity and encourage an understanding of the world in which people live. YAA began in 1987 as a “museum without walls” founded by Esther and Mindy Shrago and has been a cultural institution in Broward County for over 35 years, welcoming over 2 million visitors since 1989. The organization is led by CEO Traci Leon and features immersive exhibitions by local and internationally acclaimed artists with hands-on creativity.
YAA is a CARD Autism Friendly Partner, and staff is CARD trained, with ABA Centers of Florida participating in Sensory Fun at YAA; Sensory Fun at YAA is free and includes sensory kits, a Sensory Map, and a Social Narrative. Picture Books & Picassos is a free monthly family event with storytime, a themed art activity, and free books provided thanks to NSU Alvin Sherman Library, and Very Young At Art: Mommy & Me is hosted by Round Robin Playgroups for ages 0–24 months and their grown-ups with music, movement, art, sensory play, and open play afterwards. Heal the Planet: The SEED Program workshops are led by Heal the Planet and focus on healthy, sustainable living including nutrition, mindfulness, movement, self-worth, and environmental awareness. Teen Fashion Workshops are tied to YAA’s 19th Recycled Fashion Show: Heroes for Habitats and involve eco-friendly garments and community service hours.
YAA’s community involvement includes free Community Initiatives serving children experiencing homelessness, at-risk teens, Title I students, and low-income families, with 26 Title I schools served, 20,347 students and teachers reached through field trips, 9,104 underserved children and families supported, 3,967 teen volunteer hours, 356 programs and events held onsite and offsite, and 50 artists featured in exhibitions and outreach. YAA’s Mobile Museum “SEA YAA” brings an immersive underwater art exhibit and workshops offsite. YAA is described as a resilient, inclusive, and visionary arts hub where art meets play and creativity transforms lives.
