About
Aspire STEAM Studio offers hands-on STEAM learning that includes science labs, science investigations, engineering, engineering challenges, technology exploration, art integration, creative arts, multimedia projects, and logic-based problem solving. The program uses a hands-on, collaborative, project-based educational approach where students build, test, revise, and present their work in an active maker space environment that includes the Aspire S.T.E.M. & ART Lab and K–5 Learning Studios with flexible seating and organized learning zones. The studio operates as a part-time enrichment experience without passive screen time or busywork, where devices are used as tools rather than babysitters, and it also offers Aspire After School and Aspire Afterschool options that combine STEAM activities, creative exploration, and social connection in a structured and engaging environment.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: 2–5 days per week, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Aspire STEAM Studio uses a STEAM-focused, hands-on, collaborative, project-based educational approach that began in 2018, with the co-op established in 2012. Aspire STEAM Studio has provided secular, hands-on enrichment programming for over a decade and is intentionally small by design, with limited enrollment and no drop-ins. Aspire After School serves students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade, and Aspire Academy offers a small, preparatory academic community with strong core learning blended with hands-on labs, collaborative projects, and real-world application, including a distinct but aligned pathway for families seeking academic instruction with faith-integrated values. Aspire was founded by Reese Brown, a homeschool mom of seven with over 20 years in education and nearly 15 years at the forefront of innovative, nontraditional learning, and Reese Brown is listed as the Founder. The program notes, “Aspire was built as a nontraditional, innovative model, and we believe that commitment is one of our greatest strengths.” Building of the Sanford learning community is described as “48 Seats. One Extraordinary School. Enrolling Now,” with a dedicated launch campus that includes learning studios and innovation spaces and an opening date of August 2026.
