Circus Arts Conservatory Youth Programs and Camps include circus FUNdamentals where participants learn ground acts and aerial acts, along with circus crafts and games. Campers take part in exploring balance and coordination and finish with a costumed circus performance on the final day. The Little Campers option includes activities that focus on balance, coordination, and circus fundamentals.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Circus Summer Camp runs in ten one-week sessions from June 1 through August 3, with before and after care available; Little Campers for ages 3 to 5 runs as two separate one-week sessions, June 8–12 and June 15–19, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM.
The Circus Arts Conservatory Youth Programs and Camps are part of The Circus Arts Conservatory, led by CEO and President Jennifer Mitchell. The Circus Arts Conservatory’s Sailor Circus Academy has been nurturing young talent for over 76 years. The Circus Arts Conservatory, Inc. was incorporated on September 30, 1997 as The National Circus School of Performing Arts, later renamed Circus Sarasota, Inc., and then The Circus Arts Conservatory in 2013. Its mission is to engage and educate students using unique and innovative learning programs, to measurably improve the quality of life for individuals in care communities, and to advance the legacy and heritage of the circus. The Circus Arts Conservatory is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Performing Arts Educational Organization and focuses on performance, training, outreach, and legacy. It provides year-round outreach programs in the community, and approximately 80% of ticket revenue supports outreach programs serving children through the Education Program, the elderly and those in care facilities through the Humor Therapy Program, and the Sailor Circus Academy.
