About

Summer Art Camp includes art making, preparing materials, and assisting with supervision in the galleries and on the playground. Campers take part in half-day camp sessions in the morning or afternoon, with the option to combine two camps for a full day.

• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Schedule: Half-day morning and afternoon camps, with full-day camps available by purchasing two camps; daily schedule runs between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm
• Price: $175 per Camp for Art+ Sustainer Members; $220 per Camp for Not-Yet Members; $200 per Ceramics Camp for Art+ Sustainer Members; $250 per Ceramics Camp for Not-Yet Members; all prices are for Half-Day Camps, and two camps must be purchased to make it a Full-Day Camp

Camps have different themes based on the museum’s permanent collection of antiquities, modern and contemporary art, and exhibitions on view in the galleries. Campers are provided with a snack during each camp, all-day campers must bring a lunch from home, and all campers are encouraged to bring a water bottle.

The Tampa Museum of Art was established in 1920 and states that it collects, preserves, studies, and exhibits iconic and important works of art to educate, engage, and inspire residents of the region and others around the world. The museum provides needs-based scholarships for a limited number of campers to make Summer Art Camp available to children regardless of economic background and offers a downloadable Summer Art Camp 2026 brochure. High school volunteers aged 16–17 can assist with Summer Art Camp activities such as art making, preparing materials, and helping with supervision, and can earn volunteer hours through the museum. Art+ Members receive early registration access, and Art+ Sustainer Members receive a 20% discount on all camps.
