Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA Youth Programs (Summer Camp, Before & After School Care, Licensed Preschool, Swim Lessons, Teen Programs) include options such as Summer Camp, day camp, Teen programs, Teen Achievers, youth enrichment, and after school child care. The program also offers a Licensed Preschool, Before & After School Enrichment program, swim lessons, water exploration classes, Safety Around Water, gymnastics, racquetball/handball, Replay Soccer Clinic, pickleball, adaptive programs, adult enrichment programs, personal training, group exercise classes, and family activities.

Licensed Preschool services are offered for ages 2 years old to 5 years old at two family centers. Group and private swim lessons and water exploration classes are available for all ages, from 6 months to adult, and each family center has a pool, with some locations featuring multiple pools. Tampa YMCA members have unlimited access to all 10 family centers, three wellness centers, and exclusive access to youth and family programs at YMCA Camp Cristina and the Bob Sierra Youth and Family Center, and all locations have new wellness equipment and a helpful, supportive team. A Certified Personal Trainer at the Y is available, and the Tampa Y offers a Cancer Survivorship Program Powered by Moffitt and a Diabetes Prevention program.
In 1889, the first YMCA facility was built in Tampa as a 50,000-square-foot building that brought Tampa its first gymnasium and indoor swimming pool, and its residential headquarters provided housing for young men when they came to the city. The Tampa Y is described as the largest and oldest service organization in America and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization. Its mission is to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all, with core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, and focus areas that include Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.
The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA continues a partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning for a second season through the Patch With A Purpose program, where the Tampa Bay YMCA logo appears on all Lightning jerseys. The Tampa YMCA states that its impact is possible because of the community’s generosity and expresses gratitude for partners that support kids, adults, seniors, families, and cancer survivors in the community.
