Golden Triangle YMCA Youth Programs include youth sports leagues where children can play basketball, volleyball, pickleball, racquetball, and futsal. The programs also include youth aquatic options such as swim lessons, family swim time, recreational swim, and competitive swim, along with access to lap swimming and water aerobic classes. Children can also take part in Y Explorers, and families have access to group exercise classes and aqua fitness classes as part of the wider offerings at the Golden Triangle YMCA.

• Schedule: General facility hours are Monday–Friday 5:30 am–8:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am–4:00 pm, and Sunday 1:00 pm–5:00 pm, with additional set hours for the outdoor pool, basketball gymnasium, and Play Center.

The Golden Triangle YMCA Youth Programs are part of the YMCA of Central Florida, which has been serving Central Floridians since 1885. The YMCA of Central Florida states that its purpose is to improve lives of all in Central Florida by connecting individuals, families, and communities with opportunities based on Christian values that strengthen Spirit, Mind, and Body. The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. Personal trainers at this YMCA are certified wellness staff, and the Executive Director of the Golden Triangle YMCA is Andy Weighill.
Youth sports programs for ages 3–15 include basketball, soccer, and volleyball, and members receive discounts on these youth sports. Members also receive discounts on child swim lessons and youth aquatic programming such as swim lessons, family swim time, and recreational or competitive swim, as well as discounts on child camp through YMCA Summer camps, which are described as among the nation’s most popular. Y Explorers is available for members in grades K–5 and is included in family membership. Virtual classes and learning allow members to access classes, group fitness, and educational opportunities from home, and the Y app provides group exercise schedules, hours of operation, available amenities, outdoor activity tracking, and the ability to connect other fitness apps and devices.
The Golden Triangle YMCA is teaming up with the City of Tavares and Lake County to reimagine this location and the surrounding sports fields to create the Golden Triangle Regional Park – East Campus, and the Golden Triangle YMCA will be part of this campus with enhanced surrounding sports fields. This partnership is described as reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening the Golden Triangle area of Tavares, Mount Dora, and Eustis by providing spaces and programs that bring people together and support healthier, happier lives. The YMCA of Central Florida also works with community partners and donors to give people the resources to reach their potential. Nationwide Membership enables members to visit any participating YMCA in the United States through membership at their home YMCA.
