• Schedule: After-school hours during the school year, with full-day options on school holidays and in the summer
• Price: For the after-school program, families pay a one-time application fee of $30 as well as a monthly fee. Fees are published in the parent portal. The organization offers 100% and 50% scholarships to families who may need it.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County's mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The organization serves nearly 1,000 children each year through after-school and summer programming and is described as a vital support system for the community's families. It is governed by a Board of Directors led by co-chairmen Bill Allard and Mark Smith, with day-to-day operations led by Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth Thomason, and each Club is managed by a full-time Club Director, a full-time Program Director, and numerous part-time professionals. Boys & Girls Clubs of America was named one of the “Best Charities for Your Donations” by Consumer Reports in late 2017 and has been recognized as “the nation’s #1 youth-serving organization” for 23 years in a row by The Chronicle of Philanthropy, while Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County is rated Four-Star by Charity Navigator and has a 2025 Platinum Transparency rating by Candid. Membership is open to all children in the community between the ages of 6 and 18, is described as affordable, and includes the option of 100% and 50% scholarships for families who demonstrate financial hardship.
