Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County

Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County offers Soccer, All-Star Flag Football, Basketball, Golf through the S.N.A.G. Program, Tennis, and Triple Play. Soccer is for ages 6 to 15. All-Star Flag Football is a co-ed league for 3rd to 8th grade. Basketball is a co-ed BGC All-Star Basketball League for 2nd to 8th grade. Golf through the S.N.A.G. Program is for 4th and 5th graders. Tennis is for 4th and 5th grade. Triple Play is for ages 6 to 18.

Programs

• Soccer — 6-15
• All-Star Flag Football — 3rd to 8th grade · fall; 8 weeks; games and practice during Club hours · Co-ed league. Games and practice are held at the member’s respective Club while all games are held at the Vero Club. Jerseys are provided and must be purchased through the club.
• Basketball — 2nd to 8th grade · spring · BGC All-Star Basketball League. Co-ed. Practice is held at the member’s club location. Jerseys are provided.
• Golf (S.N.A.G Program) — 4th and 5th graders · late spring/summer; 4 weeks; two days a week · Partnership with S.N.A.G. Golf and teaches the basics of golf.
• Tennis — 4th & 5th grade · fall; 6 weeks · Partnership with Mardy Fish Children's Foundation. Ends with a Tournament. Each club has limited spots.
• Triple Play — 6-18 · Program to improve overall health by increasing daily physical activity, teaching good nutrition, and helping develop healthy relationships.

About the provider

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The Board of Directors is led by co-chairmen Bill Allard and Mark Smith, and the Chief Executive Officer is Elizabeth Thomason. Each Club is managed by a full-time Club Director and a full-time Program Director. BGCIRC is rated Four-Star by Charity Navigator and has a 2025 Platinum Transparency by Candid. The organization says it serves nearly 1,000 children each year through after-school and summer programming.

Membership is affordable, and scholarships are available for those who demonstrate financial hardship. For the after-school program, families pay a one-time application fee of $30 as well as a monthly fee. Fees are published in the parent portal, and 100% and 50% scholarships are offered. Hours of operation are School Year Monday-Friday 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.; School Holidays Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Summer Months Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
