Club SciKidz Treasure Coast & Palm Beaches STEM Programs offers STEM enrichment programs for children in grades PK–7th and states that its unique science programs are designed to meet the needs of children ages 4–14. The program’s science activities are based on Florida and National Science Education Standards, and lessons often include language arts, history, and mathematical concepts. Science programs introduce elementary school students to science through hands-on and “mind-on” experiments and interactive make-and-take projects, with summer camps offering three activities per day and extended day options. The curriculum is described as exciting and interactive, featuring carefully researched lessons that engage students in observation, measurement, identifying properties, and experimentation involving life, earth, and physical science concepts, with each unit researched by science educators with the help of teachers and children.

Club SciKidz was established in 1997, and beginning in 2001, Camp Young Scientist was created to accommodate children in grades 1–2. Since 1997, more than 100,000 children have attended one or more of Club SciKidz’ science day camps or school programs. Club SciKidz now offers 42 different themed science camps and 30 weeks of inquiry-based after-school science club experiences. Lynn and Anthony Mancini have been Treasure Coast franchise owners since the spring of 2023.

The leadership team for the broader organization includes owners Bob and Sue Hagan, and the Treasure Coast franchise owners are Lynn and Anthony Mancini. Bob and Sue have a combined 30-plus years of teaching experience and both hold a master’s degree in education, and Lynn and Anthony also received their master’s degrees in education. For summer camps in Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Jupiter, Vero Beach, and West Palm Beach, the program looks for certified teachers, college students, and outstanding high school seniors as staff.

Club SciKidz states that it was founded on the principle that parents want to provide their children with exciting, challenging, and life-impacting academic enrichment experiences, and it is committed to demonstrating how science works in the real world through activities in areas such as veterinary medicine, robotics, forensics, video game creation, food science, paleontology, engineering, chemistry and biology, astronomy, oceanography, emergency medicine, and special effects. The program describes itself as “Fun, Safe & Scientific,” and notes that its summer camps appeal to children who have a genuine interest in how things work, what things are made of, and how science works in the real world. It also notes that activities emphasize a child’s natural curiosity and make learning fun, and that there is an opportunity to gain skills in social interactions and play activities. Drop off and pick-up check-in is handled via the Club SciKidz App, which allows parents to control who picks up their child.

Club SciKidz Treasure Coast is officially accredited by STEM.org. The organization operates multiple summer day camp locations each year in Georgia and conducts in-school programs in the Metro Atlanta area, and also operates franchises in Kentucky, Maryland, Texas, and Virginia, with new locations in California, Central Indiana, Connecticut, Kansas City, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The program notes that it is a top choice for STEM summer camps in Vero Beach, Stuart, Jupiter, and West Palm Beach, and that 2025 registration is open now.
