CMC Atlanta Music Programs offers private Studio Lessons and group options such as the Afterschool Music Program (AMP), Saturday Morning Music School, Day Camps for Kids, Summer Performance Workshop, and Performance & Production Workshops and Camps. Students can take piano, singing, guitar and bass, drum, string (violin, viola, cello, upright bass), and wind (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone) lessons, as well as composition lessons. CMC Atlanta Music Programs are part of a music education company founded in 2007 as the L5P Music Center, and CMC Atlanta is celebrating 18 years since 2007. The programs include holistic, immersive camps, performance and production workshops, after school options, gap programs, and emerging artist residencies, with Studio Lessons also available as a stand-alone option. The Afterschool Music Program combines lessons and music school immersion and offers transportation from local public and private schools to nearby CMC Atlanta locations, with care available until 6:30 pm, and transportation is also listed as part of the AfterSchool Music Program. Day Camps for Kids are themed music day camps for students in grades K–5, and the Performance & Production Workshop catalog includes offerings for instrumentalists, singers, composers, and producers, with some workshops geared to beginners and others to more experienced or advanced students. Comprehensive music theory, composition, history, and advanced musicianship classes are taught by experts, and online options include Online Learning Theory, the Online Music Literacy Project, and Listening Streams. CMC Atlanta has grown from a single site to a network of local community music schools serving Decatur, Dunwoody, Inman Park, Little 5 Points, and Brookhaven. CMC Atlanta designs and implements comprehensive educational programs for students PreK through adult that promote the development of music skills and concepts, with innovative options available to meet a variety of interests and schedule needs.
CMC Atlanta works in collaboration with Capstone Academy to create Atlanta Music High School (AMHS), which uses an AISx–CMC Atlanta dual-enrollment model with three campuses and names the Atlanta International School (AISx) as its preferred dual-enrollment academic partner. AMHS provides a private conservatory option where teenagers can pursue both rigorous academics and deep, pre-professional musical training, with a curriculum that supports intensive study in Classical, Jazz, Rock, and Folk music styles and integrates modern music technology into a progressive curriculum. Every AMHS student’s course load and weekly schedule is custom-designed upon enrollment, and AMHS welcomes student-musicians utilizing other accredited academic pathways including Georgia Virtual School, Rivers Academy, Capstone Academy, William & Reed Academy, Midtown High School, Decatur High School, and homeschooling. AMHS students can integrate historic Inman Park Church educational and performance spaces into their regular experience.
