Camp Flashback is a summer, Thanksgiving, and Winter camp that lets kids learn about history by living it. Camp Flashback is run by Dunwoody Preservation Trust, which hosts Dunwoody’s only history camp.
• Schedule: Anyone who signs up for any of the June weeks of Camp Flashback between April 1 and April 30 will be eligible for a raffle drawing.
In 1994, Joyce Amacher and Lynne Byrd founded the Dunwoody Preservation Trust, with both serving as DPT’s first president. Dunwoody Preservation Trust is dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of Dunwoody and encourages the exploration of Dunwoody’s history through educational programs, publications, collections, and research. Its programs celebrate the past, honor the present, and build for the future to give Dunwoody a strong sense of historical place. As part of its community involvement, Dunwoody Preservation Trust rehabilitates historic properties, hosts community celebrations and educational events, and runs Dunwoody’s only history camp, with the goal of preserving the past, celebrating the present, and building the future.
