Its mission is to empower families to thrive through quality education, services, and partnerships. The organization’s centers are located in 11 counties across 2 states and serve 10,000 families annually through its four core services. Enrichment Services Program is described as a poverty-fighting organization that is committed to increasing awareness of the impact of poverty, implementing strategies for reducing it, identifying and removing barriers to achieve family stability and promote interdependency, and motivating residents toward a desirable future and encouraging them to become healthy contributors to the life of the community. During the period of August 2024 to July 2025, 141 families moved toward economic self-sufficiency and 5 families reached economic self-sufficiency through the organization’s services. The website for Enrichment Services Program is supported by Grant Number 42700-040-0000112963 from the Georgia Department of Human Services within the Administration for Children and Families, a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
One parent, Krystal, described enrolling her daughter Illysa in the program after being referred because of speech problems. She reported that before attending, her daughter did not know her shapes or colors, could not memorize simple songs, and babbled when speaking, and that after attending, her daughter was able to sing, identify shapes and colors, and speak clearly. Krystal also stated that while her daughter was in school, she enrolled in a GED program, and when she could not pay the GED testing fee, Enrichment Services Program paid for her to take the test, which she passed on her first attempt. She shared that she later got married, planned to enroll at Columbus Technical College to pursue a degree in Child Development, and felt more confident helping her children with their homework after earning her GED.
