Since 1858, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta has been serving the ever-changing needs of the community and is the oldest non-profit in Atlanta. Reflecting its Judeo-Christian heritage, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta is an association of volunteers, members, and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body. Financial assistance is available based on need, and the YMCA actively seeks to identify and involve those in need. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta offers programs that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta also offers community outreach programs like hunger relief, safety around water classes, and chronic disease support, and relies on partnerships with corporate, government, and community organizations.
