Dahlonega Country Day Academy

Dahlonega Country Day Academy is a full-service preschool where children do homework, have snack, play fun games, and take part in arts and crafts. The program also offers a variety of field trips and a full-service summer program with field trips that are described as exciting, adventurous, and educational. All classes have at least two teachers in every class, every day, and the school has age-appropriate playgrounds and low teacher-student ratios.

Dahlonega Country Day Academy has been locally owned and operated for almost 20 years. The school offers a Baby Cottage infant program in a home-like setting, an elite Georgia Pre-K program, and three full-service Georgia Pre-K classrooms. Each lead teacher in the Georgia Pre-K classrooms has a Bachelor’s Degree, and each assistant teacher has a CDA, TCC, or is Paraprofessional certified. The program is a CAPS provider and a THREE STAR QUALITY RATED SCHOOL. The mission of the school states that its goal is to establish a strong foundation for a child's educational development, to enhance each child's natural curiosity and love of learning, and to allow children to grow intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically in a nurturing environment, while working together with parents to maintain a close-knit relationship with an open line of communication. The mission also states that the school has fun loving teachers and strives to honor God in all that it does. The program notes that it finds it an honor to have the opportunity to serve military families and that several of its teachers are military wives.
