About

The Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Program teaches science in the context of the environment, using the outdoors as a classroom without walls or boundaries. The program is part of Georgia 4-H, which offers day and overnight educational experiences at six 4-H facilities from the mountains to the sea, including Wahsega, Fortson, Rock Eagle, Burton, 4-H Tidelands Nature Center, and Georgia 4-H at Camp Jekyll. Georgia 4-H includes opportunities for youth to learn by doing in agriculture, science, civic engagement, leadership, health, and wellness, with guidance from adult mentors who encourage 4-H’ers to take on proactive leadership roles.
