Squirrel Hollow Camp

Squirrel Hollow Camp is connected with The Bedford School and follows the school’s mission to maximize the potential of students with learning differences and develop foundations for success. The camp is part of a program that specializes in working with students who have diagnosed learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADHD, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and central auditory processing disorder (CAPD). The program uses a low student-to-teacher ratio and a structured, multi-sensory approach, and includes athletics and STEM education with hands-on investigation and real-world challenges.

• Schedule: Session 1: June 8-19; Session 2: June 22-July 3

The Bedford School states that its programs are designed to help each child turn their potential into success academically, socially, and emotionally. Athletics in the program are described as a way to develop self-esteem, teamwork, fitness, and character. The leadership team connected with the program includes Sena Grunden (Head of School), Kelley Queen (Assistant Principal), Shannon Hazeltine (Programs Director), Danielle Johns (Technology Director), Kris Kennedy (Finance Director), Matt Queen (Facilities Director), Heather Smith (Admissions Director), Betsy Box (Squirrel Hollow Director), Tammy Wiggins (Executive Assistant to Head of School), and Kalijah Arrington (Athletic Director). The program also acknowledges support from its 2025-2026 corporate sponsors.
