Harvest Rain Early Learning Academy (HRELA), a non-profit organization, provides affordable childcare and educational family services for individuals aged 6 weeks to 18 years in South Fulton. HRELA was the inaugural full-service, licensed center in Fairburn. The Academy at Harvest Rain was established in 1998 by Pastors Douglas and Ingrid Thompson of Harvest Rain Church International (HRCI). It is a licensed facility, and the center is Quality Rated. Teachers at the Academy are trained in CPR and First Aid. The program states that its mission is to transform the community to impact nations and that it is committed to providing at-risk children and youth with a high-quality, affordable, safe, loving, culturally diverse, and academically enriched environment. It also states a commitment to quality, to using best practices to maximize education, to safety, to developing lifelong and passionate learners, and to offering lessons and activities that are age and developmentally appropriate. The program offers Spanish as part of its activities. It states that it strives to deliver exceptional programs that foster the salvation, equipping, mentorship, and empowerment of children and youth, preparing them for successful lives and extending the principles of the Christian home.
