Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier After-School and Summer Programs offer after-school tutoring sessions and programs aimed at ensuring the kids served succeed in school, live healthy lives and give back to their communities. The programs provide a fun, safe and encouraging environment for kids and teens to explore new opportunities, focus on learning and reach their full potential to be leaders in the community. Members connect with others, build skills and confidence, and participate in activities supported by more than 200 employees and 400 volunteers who provide guidance and education.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier has been opening doors to lifelong success since 1954 and was formerly known as the Gainesville-Hall County Boys Club. The organization operates 23 Club Sites where members find a place to become and serves over 4,300 youth annually, with more than 1,000 members served daily. Steven Mickens serves as CEO at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier. Programs at the Clubs are aimed at ensuring the kids served succeed in school, live healthy lives and give back to their communities, and 88% of teens plan to pursue higher education after high school. Among teen Club members, 53% volunteer at least once a month, and 65% of Club members are physically active at least 5 days a week. The Club serves Hall, Habersham and Forsyth Counties and works with generous community partners, including Milton Martin Toyota, to provide youth development programs and support members such as Jaemy, who represents the organization and community at the state level and beyond.
