About
Georgia Mountains YMCA Youth Programs offers summer camp, swim lessons, fitness classes, childcare, afterschool care, and youth sports. Summer Camp provides engaging and enriching experiences for rising Kindergarten through 8th grade students. The program also includes youth development activities as part of its offerings.
• Schedule: Summer Camp runs throughout summer break, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Georgia Mountains YMCA Youth Programs has been strengthening families and neighborhoods for 30+ years. Its mission is “Building Stronger Communities. Discover programs and services that empower youth, promote healthy living, and inspire community action for all.” The program invites families to join a supportive community dedicated to nurturing potential, fostering healthy living, and promoting social responsibility. Inclusive programs welcome everyone, regardless of age or income, and over $400,000 is provided annually in financial assistance subsidies. Membership includes nationwide access at YMCAs across the country and a 7 day free trial membership option called “Try the Y.” The J. A. Walters Family YMCA family pool and hot tub will be closed Monday, April 27th, and the entire Aquatics area will be shut down from April 30th to May 3rd. Only the sauna, steam room, and lap pool will reopen on May 4th, and the projected reopen date for the hot tub and family pool is May 23rd.
