The School of The Georgia Ballet

The School of The Georgia Ballet offers classical ballet, contemporary dance, jazz dance, and hip hop dance training. Training is led by School Director Ashleyanne Hensley as part of The Georgia Ballet School, which has experienced faculty and a focus on strong technique, discipline, and artistry. The School of The Georgia Ballet offers high-quality classical ballet training in a structured and supportive environment and also provides recreational programs for those seeking a more relaxed and enjoyable dance experience.

The Georgia Ballet was founded in 1960 by Iris Hensley and has been serving the community for 65 years. The organization is a non-profit committed to inspiring the public through professional ballet performance, dance training, and community outreach, and it continues to grow to meet community needs while maintaining its reputation as an arts organization. The Georgia Ballet has evolved into a leading ballet company and training institution, fostering artistry both on stage and in the studio, and The Georgia Ballet Company is described as Marietta’s only professional ballet company. The leadership team includes Artistic Director Daet Rodriguez, School Director Ashleyanne Hensley, and founder and former Artistic Director Iris Hensley, who received Cobb County’s Lillian Bennet Sullivan Award for her impact on arts education. The Georgia Ballet enriches the Cobb County community through “Arts in Education” outreach and offers Arts Education Field Trips, Momentum, DanceAbility, and Sensory Friendly Shows. The Georgia Ballet also offers a Black Box Theatre and studios for rent and provides opportunities to train with world renowned dancers.
