Code Ninjas

Code Ninjas offers activities in AI, robotics, coding, and game building. Kids build video games and learn to code through structured, hands-on lessons that are described as feeling like play. The curriculum is developed with creation in mind so students can express imagination, experiment with new ideas, and have ownership over their creations.

• Schedule: Class options Tuesday–Friday between 3:00pm and 7:00pm, and Saturday between 9:30am and 3:00pm

In its Dojos, Code Ninjas describes a fun, tech-driven environment that is safe, welcoming, and inspiring for kids outside of school. The stated mission is that kids do not just learn coding, but also gain creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, AI, robotics, STEM, and game building skills in this environment. The program uses a proprietary learning platform called IMPACT, which is designed to give Ninjas a tailored learning track through Belts with live feedback on their progress and to develop skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and logical reasoning. Outcome-Based Learning is described as a student-centered approach with clear learning goals and aligned activities and assessments.

Code Ninjas offers several program types, including Code Ninjas CREATE (described as their best-selling program), Code Ninjas JR for ages 5 to 7 that requires no reading, Code Ninjas Camps guided by a team of Code Senseis, and multi-week Code Ninjas Academies that focus on future-ready skills in robotics, AI, and more. The Code Ninjas Prodigy Program gives Ninjas the chance to interact with leaders from large technology and gaming companies, visit headquarters, and explore career paths that coding can lead to; winning Ninjas have visited Microsoft’s headquarters in Seattle, including Microsoft’s Garage, and met with teams such as Microsoft Minecraft, Microsoft MakeCode, XBOX, Bing, and AI. Code Ninjas is described as the world’s largest and fastest-growing kids’ coding franchise, with hundreds of locations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The program has received the International Society for Technology in Education Seal of Approval, which it notes as a unique credential among coding schools.

Classes are led by experienced instructors and expert mentors, and Code Ninjas Camps are guided by Code Senseis. Code Ninjas states that it strives to have a positive relationship with the community by providing a safe and welcoming learning environment for kids outside of school and by encouraging students to use their coding skills to make a positive impact on the community, such as creating apps or websites to solve local problems.

Parents describe a range of experiences in their testimonials.
