About
Code Ninjas (Camps and Year-Round Coding Programs) offers hands-on activities in robotics, Roblox, Minecraft, and YouTube. Participants work on building their own video games, debugging code, programming in Minecraft and Roblox, and getting hands-on experience in robotics. The program also includes projects such as creating apps or websites to solve local problems.
• Ages: 5–14 years old

The camps run Monday to Friday with AM sessions from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and PM sessions from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm, with lunch from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm for full-day campers who bring a lunch. Code Ninjas states that its mission is “developing the next generation of problem solvers, creators, and leaders.” The program is guided by a team referred to as Code Senseis and uses a student-centered, outcome-based learning approach with clear learning goals and matching activities and assessments. Its curriculum is developed with creation in mind, and its multi-week Academies focus on areas such as robotics and AI. Code Ninjas uses a proprietary learning platform called IMPACT, which provides tailored learning tracks through different Belts, and offers a Prodigy Program in which winning participants have visited Microsoft’s Headquarters in Seattle, including Microsoft’s Garage and teams such as Minecraft, MakeCode, XBOX, Bing, and AI. Code Ninjas has received the ISTE Seal of Approval and is described as the world’s largest and fastest-growing kids’ coding franchise, with hundreds of locations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
The program states that it strives to have a positive relationship with the community by providing a learning environment for kids outside of school and by encouraging students to use coding skills on projects such as apps or websites that address local problems. Parent testimonials describe children enjoying the program, being excited to show what they made, coding their first game shortly after starting, and talking about friendly teachers and staff. One parent notes that their child has grown since starting and likes to teach coding at home, and another describes seeing children develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
