Code Ninjas

Code Ninjas offers weekly Code Ninjas Create sessions for ages 8-14, where children build video games and learn core coding concepts while moving from White to Black belt. It also offers Code Ninjas Jr for ages 5-7, with hands-on tinkering and simple coding in ScratchJR and CodeSpark, and no reading is required.

About the provider

Code Ninjas has the International Society for Technology in Education Seal of Approval. The program says it is building strong communities by providing a safe and welcoming learning environment for kids outside of school, and it encourages students to use coding skills to make a positive impact on the community, such as creating apps or websites to solve local problems.

Outcome-Based Learning is described as a student-centered approach. The site also states that no reading is required for Code Ninjas Jr.
