About
Learning Hive offers homework help, cooking activities such as making Monkey Bread, and trips when the children are out of school. The program includes early education and enrichment activities supported by an innovative and creative developmentally appropriate curriculum for all ages. Children receive nutritious homestyle meals and snacks, including dinner every evening, and families receive daily reports and daily updates through the ProCare Parent engagement app.
• Ages: 0–12 years old
Since 2013, Learning Hive has blended a safe, cozy environment of a home with a structured educational atmosphere as a community of childcare programs. The program offers early education and enrichment for children from six weeks to twelve years, with a focus on developing a strong social, emotional, and educational foundation. Learning Hive is a community of family owned, licensed early learning and care schools that serve infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-k, after school, and camps for school-age children. The program states a commitment to serving each family and child in a personal and specialized fashion to help sow the seeds for a lifelong love of learning. Families are offered flexible schedules, an open-door policy where parents are welcome to visit anytime, and parent-teacher conferences to discuss developmental milestones, along with several events throughout the year to build connections between staff, families, and the communities served.
One parent describes the teachers as friendly and notes that they make sure homework is done and help with it when needed, and that her child enjoys cooking every Thursday. Another parent mentions that the program feels like family away from home, values the homework help, and highlights cooking Monkey Bread and trips planned when children are out of school. A third parent calls the learning curriculum amazing, notes that Learning Hive is a private program apart from GA Pre-K, and describes the hands-on learning as extraordinary for tech-focused children. Other parents describe the staff and teachers as a second family and a large part of their child’s growth and development, and say that for almost four years the team felt like family, showing unconditional care and compassion for each child.
