About

Learning Hive offers activities that include homework help and cooking projects such as cooking Monkey Bread. Children take part in hands-on experiences that repeat weekly, like cooking every Thursday mentioned by one parent.

• Ages: 0–12 years old

Learning Hive has been operating since 2013. The program offers early education and enrichment programs for children from six weeks to twelve years. It is described as a family owned, licensed early learning and care school with caring and dedicated teachers providing a warm and cozy environment, and caring, nurturing, supportive staff committed to providing a loving, safe learning environment. The curriculum is described as unique, innovative, creative, developmentally appropriate for all ages, and focused on developing a strong social, emotional, and educational foundation, with hands-on learning that one parent called “extraordinary and out right genius for this generation of Tech kids.” Learning Hive states that it is committed to serving each family and child in a personal and specialized fashion to help sow the seeds for a lifelong love of learning.

The program offers flexible schedules to meet family needs, provides nutritious homestyle meals and snacks including dinner every evening, and blends a safe, cozy environment of a home with a structured educational atmosphere. Families receive daily reports and daily updates through the ProCare Parent engagement app, and the program holds parent-teacher conferences to discuss developmental milestones. Learning Hive has an open-door policy where parents are welcome to visit anytime and organizes several events throughout the year to build connections between staff, families, and the communities served.

Parent testimonials describe friendly teachers who make sure homework is done and help with it when needed, weekly cooking that children look forward to, and planned trips when children are out of school. Several parents describe the program as feeling like family, mention that staff show unconditional care and compassion for each child, and say the staff and teachers have become a large part of their child’s growth and development.
