About
Connect Camps offers a one-week day camp experience that includes five days of camp. Registration includes two snacks per day, a camp t-shirt, and all five days of camp. Campers take part in a variety of activities and team-based activities that are physically active and involve high-quality, engaging experiences.
• Schedule: One-week day camp with five days of camp
Since 2006, Connect Ministries has connected over 2,000 churches with over 500,000 people through community-driven, gospel-centered experiences. Connect Camps is partnered with a local church in each community, and campers connect with crew members from the local church. Connect Camps offers two options: Connect Camps and Connect FCA Camps, and Connect FCA Camps is a sports day camp experience for young athletes aged 9–12 that focuses on both skill and character. Christ-centered content is presented in engaging and interactive formats, and the program includes secure check-in and check-out procedures, with no early drop-off or late pickup. Campers are asked to bring a lunch (unless provided by the community), a water bottle, and to wear comfy clothes such as gym shorts and a t-shirt, along with closed-toed shoes, and to avoid bringing electronics, stuffed animals, toys, or peanuts in their lunch.
Over 125 years of camp experience goes into training the energetic, committed, and vetted college-aged staff at Connect Camps. Staff are recruited by trained campus representatives, must provide references from previous employers or local ministers, complete a thorough background check, and participate in a one-on-one interview and an extensive initial training process. Returning counselors are evaluated on their past summer’s performance, and Connect Camps provides ongoing coaching and development with performance reviews, including reviews of the activities and small groups they lead. The leadership and support team includes roles such as President Ken Thomas, Vice President Gabe Norris, and multiple specialists, coordinators, residents, apprentices, and interns across marketing, advancement, business operations, supply chain, creative, staff recruiting and development, logistics, finance, and host development.
Parents and church hosts have shared feedback such as “Our entire church staff was blown away,” “The perfect camp experience for our family,” “The staff is amazing,” and “A Christ-centered camp our kids loved.” Other comments include “They take care of the details,” “A church camp experience—without sleep-away camp,” “An incredibly well thought-out program,” and “A camp that truly cares about child safety.” One host church noted, “The staff is intentional, genuine, and personal,” and a parent shared, “It’s very evident that each team member has a strong passion for Jesus and for spreading His love. Thank you for the commitment you have made as you select and train each team member.”
