Alton Parks and Recreation Youth Sports, Camps, and Clinics

Alton Parks and Recreation Youth Sports, Camps, and Clinics offers youth Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Flag Football, Summer Day Camps, Tennis Clinics, Soccer Camp, Baseball Clinics, and Basketball Clinics. The program also includes Adult Slo-Pitch Softball with options such as Monday Men’s Open, Tuesday Men’s Open, Wednesday Co-ed League, and Thursday Church League.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; park hours dawn until dusk

The Alton Parks and Recreation Department states that the success of its programs depends on adult volunteer coaches and provides coaching materials at no cost, along with a multitude of yearly coaches meetings. Many independent sports groups and organizations use its venues, including SWIBL Baseball, Alton and Marquette High Schools, Renegades Youth Football Club, Ozark Collegiate Baseball League, Civic Memorial Tennis, GameTime, Great Midwest Baseball, and Premier Baseball. The leadership team includes Lyndsey Younger, Executive Director of Parks and Recreation; Patti Flanigan, Secretary; and Sabrina Kalips, Recreation Supervisor.
