Legacy Elite Gymnastics

Legacy Elite Gymnastics offers gymnastics classes, preschool classes, and themed camps such as Superheroes Camp, Zootopia Camp, K-Pop Demon Hunters Camp, Chess & Gymnastics Camp, and In Our Summer Era Camp. The program also runs Dragon Tots, Mini Dragons, and Kinder Dragon classes, as well as special events like birthday parties, Super Mario PNO, Team Clinics including Team Clinic L7-10, and seasonal camps such as Super Mario Camp, Believe Camp, Under the Sea Camp, Christmas in July Camp, Princess & Pirates Camp, and an End of Summer Beach Bash.

• Schedule: Class and program options Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM–8:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM–6:30 PM, with Wednesday morning preschool classes starting at 9:00 AM

Legacy Elite Gymnastics is described as a world renowned gymnastics club and world renowned training center, and as a beautiful facility for classes, birthday parties, events, and more. The program is described as the home of Olympians, World Champions, and NCAA scholarship athletes, and as the only gymnastics center in Illinois with USA National Team Members, Olympic and World medalists. Its stated mission is to provide top-tier training and mentorship to aspiring gymnasts of all ages and skill levels in a supportive and inclusive environment. Legacy Elite Gymnastics uses the slogan “Where Success and Fun are One!”

Legacy Elite Gymnastics is owned and operated by US and International Olympian and world class gymnasts Jiani and Yuejiu, who have been coaching gymnastics for over 35 years and have coached the National Team in the USA, China, and Canada. Both were National Team members at the Chinese National training center, and they started dating after the 1984 Olympics and married in 1986. Coach Jiani, Team Head Coach and Owner, has been a Chinese national team member from 1977–1985, is a US National Team Member coach, serves on the Team USA International Elite Committee, and is the IL State TOPs Coordinator. Her listed honors include 2013 Region 5 JO Coach of the Year, 2012 Elite Coach of the Year, 2010–11 USA Team World’s Assistant Coach, 2007 Region 5 Junior Olympic Coach of the Year, 1984 Olympic Games China Bronze Medal Team, 1981 Worlds 2nd place Team competition, five-time Chinese National Champion. Coach Yuejiu, Team Head Coach, is a US National Team Member Coach who was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2014, and his listed honors include 2013 Region 5 Junior Olympic Coach of the Year, 2012 Region 5 Elite Coach of the Year, 2008 Chinese Women’s and Men’s Coordinator for the gold medal winning Olympic team, 2007 World’s Gold Medal Chinese team Coach, 1984 Olympic Games Silver Medal Men’s team, 1981 World Championships 1st place on floor as China’s first male World Champion, and over 10 years as a Chinese national team member.

Additional named staff include Kate, Cyndi, Anela, Coach Aubrey as Preschool and Tumbling Coach, Coach Bella as Summer Camp Coach, Coach Nikki as Compulsory Coach, and Coach Talia as Rec Coach and Showcase Director. Legacy Elite Gymnastics was awarded 2022 Region 5 Club of the Year and 2024 Best Club in Illinois. It is also described as a world renowned training center run by a family who have love and passion for kids and the sport of gymnastics. Coach Anna from the program is featured in the COD DuPage Public Art Project currently on display at the downtown Aurora parking garage.
