Studio Nafisa

Studio Nafisa offers drawing, painting, and sketching classes. Specific offerings include Let’s Draw for ages 4-5, I Can Draw-1 and I Can Draw-2 for ages 6+, Sketching & Pencil Shading for ages 12+, Dream Palette Painting for ages 6+, and Budding Artist for ages 8+. The program also offers Technical Drawings, Origami, Quilling, and Painting, along with camps during school holidays and breaks.

Programs

• Let’s Draw — Age 4-5 · Focuses on developing early drawing skills; 1 hour each week.
• I Can Draw—1 — Age 6+ · Step-by-step drawing class; 1 hour each week.
• I Can Draw—2 — Age 6+ · Builds on I Can Draw-1; prerequisite is I Can Draw-1 class or equivalent competency; 1 hour each week.
• Sketching & Pencil Shading — Ages 12+ · Beginner to advanced sketching and pencil shading; 1 hour each week.
• Dream Palette Painting — Age 6+ · Beginner to advanced painting; class duration is 3 months; 1 hour each week.
• Budding Artist — Ages 8+ · Year-long structured program; prerequisite is I Can Draw-2 or equivalent competency; 1 hour each week.
• Technical Drawings — Architecture preparation for national and international Architecture entrance exams; Technical Drawing classes.
• Origami — Offered for STEM events, birthdays, camps and special events.
• Quilling — Offered for STEM events, birthdays, camps and special events.
• Painting — Water color painting, oil painting, and acrylic painting; offered for STEM events, birthdays, camps and special events.
• Camps — Variety of camps during school holidays and breaks.
• Classes — Drawing, painting, and sketching classes.

• General schedule: Most classes run throughout the year. Register any time of the year. Classes are held in small groups to provide individual attention.
• Facility hours: Monday 6:30-7:30 pm; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 5:30 to 7:30 pm; Saturday 11:30-12:30

About the provider

The program’s mission is developing and nurturing creative skills and preparing students for lifelong success through creative confidence. The leadership team includes Nafisa Husain, listed as Founder and Creator in Chief, Ms. Nafisa, listed as the owner and primary driving force behind Studio Nafisa, and Ms. Erin Bartolotta, a staff member. The credentials and awards section says Ms. Nafisa has formal education in Engineering and Art, prior corporate jobs in Electrical and Software engineering, and certifications in Still Life, Memory, Nature and Geometric drawings. Studio Nafisa also provides art enrichment at schools, group events for Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, LEGO Early Engineering classes and camps, LEGO Robotics classes and camps, STEM and STEAM events at schools, and work with charitable organizations.

One hour each week for several classes. Dream Palette Painting class duration is 3 months. Budding Artist is annual. Studio offers open studio hours and facility for amateur and experienced artists. Call to schedule a visit.
