About
4-Day Junior Golf Camps at Mill Creek Golf Course focuses on golf instruction that includes full swing, short game, rules and etiquette, fun group competitions, and on course play. Each camp is a 4-day session that combines these activities for junior golfers.
• Schedule: Each camp runs for 4 days, and each session is 3 hours. Camp #1 offers a morning session from Tuesday 6/9 to Friday 6/12, 9:00–12:00, and an afternoon session from Tuesday 6/16 to Friday 6/19, 1:00–4:00. Camp #2 offers a morning session from Tuesday 6/23 to Friday 6/26, 9:00–12:00, and an afternoon session from Tuesday 6/23 to Friday 6/26, 1:00–4:00. Camp #3 offers a morning session from Tuesday 7/7 to Friday 7/10, 9:00–12:00. Camp #4 offers a morning session from Tuesday 7/14 to Friday 7/17, 9:00–12:00.
• Price: Cost: $250 per camp
The camps are connected with Golf Underground, which is described as a state-of-the-art indoor golf practice facility with 6 golf simulators, an indoor putting green, and 4 TrackMan launch monitors. The TrackMan Golf Simulator includes a library of golf courses to play and game improvement tools such as video and swing analysis, Test Center, and TrackMan Combine. Golf Underground is home to the Pat Lenski Golf Academy.
The program is led by Pat Lenski, a PGA Golf Professional and Class “A” Member of the PGA since 1995. Pat Lenski has 30 years of experience as a PGA Golf Professional, with golf instruction education that includes time at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and a bachelor’s degree from Lake Forest College. Pat has been a PGA Teaching Professional at Mill Creek Golf Club since 2014 and is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Instructor and Titleist Certified Club Fitter.
Pat’s teaching philosophy is stated as: “Using technology and my experience to teach students to understand the cause and effect of their golf swing, creating self-reliant, athletic golfers.” Pat has been recognized for work with junior golf in the tri-cities. In 2018, two students, Sarah Arnold and Catie Nekola from St. Charles North High School, were state champions. In April 2019, student Josh Pehl qualified for the Drive, Chip & Putt finals at Augusta National during Masters week. Student Sarah Arnold won the Illinois Women’s Amateur and qualified for the USGA Junior Girls Championship. Other USGA qualifiers include Catie Nekola for the 2022 USGA Junior Girls’ Amateur; Sarah Arnold and Emma Carpenter for the 2023 USGA Women’s Amateur; and Katherine Lemke for the 2024 USGA Women’s Amateur.
