Founded in 1956, Batavia Youth Baseball is an all-volunteer organization. Its programs serve over 1,200 players ages 6 to 17 on more than 90 teams. The organization states that it offers a quality baseball program for the children of Batavia, IL and Mooseheart. Batavia Youth Baseball raises funds through local sponsors, donations, and player fund raising, and it receives no financial support from any local government. The organization holds monthly board meetings that are open to the public and is in constant need of adult volunteers to coach, prep fields, sell concessions, and umpire games.
