Bloomingdale Lightning FC offers competitive travel soccer, year-round training, and a youth soccer camp. The program also holds tryouts and provides year-round evaluations for players. It is a not-for-profit competitive travel soccer program, with more than 50 competitive travel teams and 15+ soccer specific training programs, and it offers 365 year-round player opportunities.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
Club operations are led by Mallory Gallo. The club’s mission is to provide an impactful soccer environment for the local community by growing steadily, brick by brick and player by player, with attention to details and a focus on a quality experience for every member. The club emphasizes a healthy environment for mental and physical development in soccer and has a vision to build a soccer club for all, focusing on developing stronger human beings. Bloomingdale Lightning FC specializes in year-round training and competing for both boys and girls from ages 4 through adult, and it has a new girls program. Teams compete in the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL), Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), Illinois Women’s Soccer League (IWSL), USL youth, and the USL Men’s Academy league. The club reports being one of the largest and fastest growing programs in the area, has awarded 165 financial scholarships, and uses a style of play that emphasizes early ball mastery leading to a fast pass and possession style.
