Preschool Extended Day (Breakfast Buddies & Lunch Bunch Plus) gives children time to eat lunch with friends and have extra learning time with activities in various subjects. Breakfast Buddies and Lunch Bunch Plus are exclusively for children enrolled in the Bolingbrook Park District Preschool Program. Children who fit the age range can participate in multiple programs on the same day.
• Ages: 3–5 years old
• Schedule: Breakfast Buddies and Lunch Bunch Plus run 01/12/2026–02/23/2026, with morning and midday options that follow the Preschool 2025–2026 School Calendar
• Price: Breakfast Buddies Fees (Resident/Non-Resident): $45.00/$68.00; Lunch Bunch Plus Fees (Resident/Non-Resident): $83.00/$124.00
Only children enrolled in morning Preschool can participate in Breakfast Buddies. Children enrolled in Breakfast Buddies should be brought into the building and dropped off to the Breakfast Buddies teacher between 8:15 am and 8:45 am. Children enrolled in Lunch Bunch or Lunch Bunch Plus will be escorted from their morning preschool classroom to the Lunch Bunch room, and children enrolled in afternoon preschool will be escorted to their classroom by the Lunch Bunch teacher. Children must be registered for each session separately, and this is not a drop-in program. Children should bring food or snack items and a water bottle in an insulated lunch box or bag, with all food containers labeled and any needed utensils or napkins included. Families are asked to send foods that children can open independently, not to send food that contains nuts of any kind, and to avoid carbonated drinks or fast-food meals. There is no curbside pick-up or drop-off for these programs, and children should be picked up from the Lunch Bunch room at the end of the program by an approved pick-up person.
The Bolingbrook Park District lists Anthony Morelli as Superintendent of Recreation and Kim Smith as Director of Marketing & Customer Care. The Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex Renovation Project was completed in 2021. The district’s mission statement is to provide world-class park and recreation services in a fiscally responsible manner to enhance the community’s quality of life. Bolingbrook Park District has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for 21 consecutive years. The Bolingbrook Park District and Valley View School District Community Unit School District 365U were recognized for their partnership at the Illinois Association of Park Districts’ Best of the Best Gala.
