Bolingbrook Park District Youth Programs include activities such as the NFL Youth Flag Football League, Parent/Tot Basketball Open Gym, Youth Open Volleyball, Outdoor Lap Swim, Splash Pad & Zero-Depth Swim, and Outdoor Open Swim. Additional options include open basketball, outdoor splash pad use, outdoor zero depth pools, two open water slides, two enclosed water slides, a lazy river, a dive wall with diving board and drop slide, a sand play area, and beach volleyball. In the NFL Youth Flag Football League, players receive team jerseys, shorts, and flag belts, and the program is described as fast-paced and fun, teaching kids the fundamentals of football in a safe, non-contact environment while they build skills, teamwork, discipline, and confidence.

The Bolingbrook Park District mission is to provide world-class park and recreation services in a fiscally responsible manner to enhance the community’s quality of life. The district has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for the past 21 consecutive years. The Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex Renovation Project was completed in 2021, and the district manages and maintains 50 parks and facilities totaling 1,107 acres of land. The Bolingbrook Park District reports that Bolingbrook is described as one of the nation’s Top 100 Cities to Live by Money Magazine and states that it strives for a 24-hour response time.
The Bolingbrook Park District works with other agencies through intergovernmental agreements to help residents realize the most benefits possible, and it gathers feedback from the community through an ongoing community-wide survey distributed randomly to Bolingbrook households every three to four years.
