Chicago Home Tutor offers one-on-one reading, writing, math, science, and English tutoring, as well as homework help and homeschool teaching. The program also provides executive functioning coaching, ADHD tutoring, autism tutoring, dyslexia tutoring, Orton-Gillingham/Wilson tutoring, and HSAT test prep tutoring. Sessions are personalized around each child’s strengths and struggles, with targeted goals based on evaluations, teacher input, observations, and IEPs.

Chicago Home Tutor has been serving Chicago families since 2015 and has been in business for 11 years. The program has matched over 1,300 students with more than 170 specialist tutors. Tutors are background-verified, licensed professional educators, including certified teachers and specialists, an Illinois-licensed Learning Specialist, licensed Learning Behavior Specialists, a licensed Illinois Professional Educator with endorsements in ESL and Library Information, and a certified school psychologist. Families can schedule a free 20–30 minute phone consultation with an Illinois-licensed Learning Specialist, and tutors are available afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The leadership team includes Laura, School Psychologist, Founder Emeritus; Joe, Learning Designer, President; Jake Vilaubi, Learning Behavior Specialist, Tutor Manager; and Sam, Learning Behavior Specialist, Director of Student Services & Success. The mission of Chicago Home Tutor is to be a collective of teachers, specialists, and school psychologists who strive to stay curious, nurture a love of learning, and see the world through each child’s eyes.
