Over the Edge Basketball offers high school player development, national competing teams, high school tryouts, and travel basketball. Participants take part in drills led by Chicago Bulls legend Will Perdue, along with hands-on practice and a facility tour at the Chicago Bulls Advocate Center.

• Schedule: High school tryouts on August 22nd, with girls from 9:00–10:30 and boys from 10:30–12:00
Over the Edge Basketball has been around since 2001 and has operated for over 20 years, preparing players from 3rd grade through the high school levels. The program is based on fundamentals and states that over 90% of its alums have gone on to play high school basketball and have excelled. It offers elite coaching from experienced professionals, with a leadership team that includes Croix Urcina (contact: [email protected]), Coach Caitlin, Coach Croix, Coach Shawn, Coach Orlando, and Coach G.
The stated mission is to prepare players to excel in basketball as well as life, with a focus on character, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and a love for the game, and to build confident, resilient individuals who excel both in basketball and in life. Over the Edge Basketball highlights mental toughness and leadership development both on and off the court, and describes its travel basketball as being with a team that feels like family. The program has a history of competitive success, including 15U World Champions, back-to-back state championships, 8th grade girls state champions, 7th grade girls state champions, and 2026 Illinois Middle School back-to-back state champions for the 6th grade Burgundy boys. Its 15U National Girls Team took second place in the USJN Windy City Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the OTE 15U Girls officially qualified for Nationals in July.
Over the Edge Basketball collaborates with the Chicago Bulls Practice Takeover and is hosted at the Advocate Center by the Chicago Bulls, and it has a partnership with New Balance for the Over The Edge x New Balance Team Store, which offers discounts starting at 20% or more.
