Over The Edge Basketball focuses on basketball training that includes high school player development, individualized training programs, mental toughness and leadership development, national competing teams, and travel basketball. The program is based on basketball fundamentals for players starting in 3rd grade through the high school levels.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
OTE has been in operation since 2001 and has been a program for over 20 years. Elite coaching is provided by experienced professionals, including Coach Caitlin, Coach Croix, Coach Shawn, Coach Orlando, and Coach G. Over 90% of alums have gone on to play high school basketball and have excelled, and the program has a track record of developing top-tier talent and providing athletes with opportunities to play at the collegiate level. The mission of Over The Edge Basketball states that it prepares players to excel in basketball as well as life, emphasizes being “over the edge on fundamentals,” and focuses on inspiring and empowering young athletes through basketball while developing character, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and a love for the game, along with a goal of helping each player reach full potential, build friendships, and pursue continuous growth and learning.
Over The Edge Basketball has earned multiple competitive achievements, including state championships for 7th grade girls, 5th grade boys, 8th grade girls, and 8th grade girls and 7th grade girls listed as state champs, as well as 6th Burgundy boys winning the Illinois AAU/Club state championship and being back-to-back 2026 Illinois Middle School state champions. The program’s 15U teams have earned titles such as 15U World Champions and 15U Run 4 The Roses Champions, and the 15U National Girls Team placed second at the USJN Windy City Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and officially qualified for Nationals in July. Community involvement includes a collaboration with the Chicago Bulls Practice Takeover, with Bulls staff, coach Eddie, and Chicago Bulls legend Will Perdue leading drills and offering words of encouragement. Over The Edge Basketball also has a partnership with New Balance, including an Over The Edge x New Balance Team Store that offers customized items, discounts starting at 20% or more, expedited delivery, and reopening throughout the season.
