About
Brains & Motion Education offers activities in coding, game design, creative writing, animation, soccer, tennis, basketball, computer activities, robotics activities, STEM projects, craft projects, and sports programs. The program includes both tech-focused labs and hands-on maker projects, along with organized sports and other physical activities.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
• Schedule: Daily schedule includes arrival between 8:30–9:00 AM, large group welcome, a sports block, snack and game break, tech lab, maker lab, lunch, a full group activity, and a closing Camp BAM! block in the afternoon (activity times may vary by age group)
Brains & Motion Education offers summer camps, before and after-school programs, and guided recess throughout the year as a STEAM and sports education provider for grades K–8. Programs blend coding, AI, machine learning, creative writing, animation, game design, STEM projects, craft projects, and organized games with social-emotional learning. For every activity, instructors provide laptops, robotic sets, art supplies, and sports equipment, and kids are asked to wear athletic clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes and bring a full water bottle each day. Extended hours (Aftercare) and lunch add-ons are available during checkout, and the check-out procedure includes email notification to parents or guardians when a child is picked up, with teachers releasing students only to parents, guardians, or emergency contacts on file; a late pick-up fee of $5 per minute begins five minutes after the session ends.
All instructors are adult educators with no counselors-in-training, recruited from prestigious universities and vetted through highly refined interview and background check processes. Instructors receive extensive training beyond curriculum and classroom management, including subject-specific preparation, child development, safety protocols, and continuous professional development, and they have backgrounds in education, coaching, STEAM, child psychology, and other areas. Brains & Motion Education states a mission to spark kids’ curiosity, creativity, and love of learning by blending STEAM adventures with sports and outdoor movement, with a focus on holistic development across intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth. The organization reports more than 1,100 school partnerships, has worked with over 100,000 students, and is used by families and school leaders nationwide. Leadership includes CEO Bart Epstein, CFO Frank Bonanno, COO Kristopher Kasper, CRO Rob Magliano, CTO Sean Zinsley, VP of Curriculum Jody Nova, VP of Finance Charissa Murphy, Director of Talent Acquisition & Customer Service Kirsten Tamura, Director of Sales Operations Sarah Esquivel, Operations Directors Amanda Wright and Jessica De Arcos, Director of Summer Camps Casie DiCenso, Director of Training & Development Mallory Davis, and Director of Sales, West Trey Thompson.
A parent review on Trustpilot from Kristen describes the program as well rounded across STEAM activities, notes that her child enjoys attending each day, and mentions that she finds it more enriched than an average after-care program, with specific praise for an instructor named Ms. Sierra.
