Unicoi Art Studio offers art classes, mixed media art classes, art camp, and children’s camps, as well as birthday parties and after school art programs. The studio also organizes school fundraisers as part of its programming.

Unicoi Art Studio has been providing art activities for kids in Chicago since 1999 and was founded by Nora Unicoi Stewart. Unicoi’s mission is to “draw” out the imagination in every child, with projects designed to be informative, engaging and fun for children ages 3–15. The studio uses premium quality materials so students experience rich colors, unusual textures and a variety of unique materials. It was voted the best art classes in the city for 2008 and 2009 by the parents of Chicago through Nickelodeon’s Parents Picks Award.
Unicoi Studio has been a part of after school art programs and school fundraisers in over 30 private and public schools in Chicago, and Unicoi comes to schools in Chicago. The program began with teaching after school art classes out of the founder’s home and now has over ten different classes for kids and sends teachers to multiple Chicago schools for art class and after school programs. The teaching philosophy is for children to be able to use their creativity to explore the subjects that interest them and for teachers to provide a safe and structured environment.
Parent feedback includes comments such as, “She came home happy and raving about all the new projects she made!” from Leslie B. Amanda P. shares that her 8-year-old daughter and almost 6-year-old son consider the mixed media art class they attend every week after school to be the highlight of their week. Rebecca P. notes, “My kids had a great time and wanted to stay longer!”
