Uniting Voices Chicago After-school Programs offers world-class instruction in music from many genres, cultures, and languages. The program includes conversation about the historical and social context of music, performance opportunities, and one or two rehearsals per week from September to May for school programs.

About the provider

For 70 years, Uniting Voices Chicago has empowered thousands of young people. The organization says it inspires and changes lives through the unifying power of music. It is a certified partner of Chicago Public Schools and is described as a model in line with the National Standards for Music Education and Illinois Arts Learning Standards. Nearly 4,000 young people take part in Uniting Voices, and they come from every Chicago ZIP code.

After-school programs are offered with tuition on a sliding scale. The organization says it will never turn a family away for financial reasons. School Program pricing is subsidized by more than 50%. Schools requiring further financial aid can apply to the Uniting Voices Chicago School Fund. Administrative offices are open Monday-Thursday 9-5pm and Friday 9-2pm.
