Wee Care Preschool

Wee Care Preschool offers a traditional Early Childhood program that includes academics, creative play, and physical activities. Children take part in enrichment classes such as Music, Yoga, Dance, Soccer, and Art, along with Seasonal Field Trips and Parent/Child Events. The program includes three nutritious snacks and a full catered hot lunch, and diapers are included for children who are not yet potty trained.

Wee Care Preschool has been a small private preschool serving families for over 40 years and is family owned and operated. The Owner/Director has been on site daily for over 40 years and opened Wee Care in 1985 after teaching school for over 17 years and running a home day care for five years. Some teaching staff have been at Wee Care for over 5, 10, and even 20 years, and most teachers are also parents. The teaching staff brings decades of Early Childhood Education experience, are certified according to classroom position, are CPR qualified, and are members of Gateway, continuing their Early Childhood Education each year.

The school is licensed by the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and DCFS for daycare, preschool, infant, and toddler programs. Wee Care Preschool employs Pediatric Nurse Concepts to monitor safety, sanitation, and age-appropriate topics. The program offers flexible scheduling, infant, toddler, and preschool programs, ongoing enrollment, and is closed only for the six major holidays per year. The mission of Wee Care Preschool states that it offers a safe, secure, stimulating environment and a warm social setting where children can develop to their fullest potential under the guidance of qualified teachers and caregivers, with the goal of meeting personal, developmental, and academic needs within a creative and relaxed environment.
