Deerfield Park District Summer Camps
Jewett Park Community Center, 836 Jewett Park Drive, Deerfield, IL 60015
About
Deerfield Park District Summer Camps offer a summer day camp program that includes games, arts and crafts, music, drama, nature activities, sports, pool time, and more. Campers are expected to bring a labeled sack lunch and drink each day or can pre-purchase lunch from Marla's Brown Bag Lunch for specified camps. Families in specified camps receive camp handbooks by email at the end of April.
• Price: Resident and non-resident fees are listed for each camp. A $50, $100, or $200 nontransferable, nonrefundable deposit is due at registration for most camps. If a camp did not require a deposit, the cancellation fee is $25 per camp session canceled.
The Deerfield Park District was established in 1951. Its stated mission is to serve the entire Deerfield community with parks, services, facilities, and recreation programs that enrich lives, promote healthy living, and inspire memorable experiences. District taxpayers have priority in all classes, and the district offers a camp payment plan with four equal monthly payments processed on the 15th day of February, March, April, and May. The Patty Turner Center operates as a joint program of the Deerfield Park District and the Village of Deerfield for adults 50 and above, and the park district receives community input through citizen advisory committees and the general public. Under a cooperative agreement with local school districts, participants who live outside park district boundaries but within District 109 or 113 and enroll in a program held at a District 109 or 113 school pay the resident rate but begin registering on the non-resident registration date.
