About
Premier Gymnastics Academy offers gymnastics for girls and boys, including parent & tot gymnastics, pre-school and kindergarten gymnastics, beginners and advanced gymnastics, traveling competitive gymnastics teams, tumbling, and summer camps. Classes run year round, and the program is always taking registration. The facility includes experienced coaches, state-of-the-art equipment, a climate controlled environment, a large parent viewing area, and surface and air protection with ActivePure Technology.

• Schedule: Year-round classes with a summer schedule running June 15th–August 9th, including class sessions from June 15th–July 14th, July 15th–August 9th, and a school year schedule of classes meeting August 17th–September 14th.
Premier Gymnastics Academy opened in 1995. The mission of the program is to channel each child’s natural energy and enthusiasm for movement into a fun and exciting athletic experience while providing quality gymnastics instruction and giving every child a feeling of continued success.
Coaches at Premier Gymnastics Academy have been recruited for their knowledge of gymnastics, years of experience, and rapport with children, and many are nationally known former collegiate gymnasts with the highest level safety certification and professional accreditation. Multiple staff members are CPR certified and Safe Sport Certified. Mark, the Owner/Director, competed at Iowa State University, is a 2-time NCAA Champion on Rings, has been coaching for 40 years, coached at the University of Wisconsin, opened Premier in 1995, was inducted into the Iowa State Hall of Fame, has coached many State and National Champions and many gymnasts who have gone on to compete at the college level, was a USAG judge for many years, and is CPR and Safe Sport Certified. Esther, the Office Manager, began coaching in 1989, managed a gymnastics school from 1993–2007, coached competitive compulsory and optional girls from 1993–2007, joined Premier in 2013, and is CPR Certified.
Additional staff credentials include collegiate, national, and international competitive backgrounds, coaching experience across recreational and competitive levels, and roles such as IHSA certified gymnastics judge, USAG professional judge, nationally ranked men’s gymnastics judge, and Certified EMT. Kristyn, a Girls High School Coach, is Head Coach of the Downers Grove South girls’ gymnastics team, President of the Illinois High School Girls Gymnastics Coaches Association, an IHSA official, and has received 2021 IHSA Coach of the Year, NFHS Coach of the Year, and 2022 IHSGGCA Coach of the Year. Devin, a Boys Team Coach, is a member of the Region 5 coaching staff and has accompanied the Region 5 Team to various camps and national and international events.
The facility uses ActivePure Technology through the Aerus Pure & Clean and Vollara Air & Surface Pro, which have been scientifically proven to reduce airborne SARS-CoV-2 novel coronavirus in the air, with a proven kill rate of over 99.9% of airborne SARS-CoV-2 within 3 minutes in tests completed in partnership with a Biosafety Level 4 and Biosafety Level 3 combination lab team following strict FDA protocols.
