The Summer Riding Program includes a daily riding lesson, grooming and tacking sessions, games on horseback, bathing horses, grazing, learning about tack and equipment, learning a basic of horses, horse related activities, lunch, games, and clean up. It is recommended that a child is able to post the trot before the start of camp, and individual lessons are available beforehand.
• Schedule: June 9–August 7, 2025, Monday–Thursday (excluding July 4); typical day runs 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• Price: Cost: $100 per day ($385 for the whole week)
The Summer Riding Program takes place at a hunter-jumper riding facility that includes two indoor arenas, a large outdoor arena, fifteen turn-out paddocks and pastures, two heated viewing rooms with amenities, a heated main boarding barn containing sixty-six stalls, and heated shower stalls. The program is part of Red Coat Farm, a Premier Equestrian Hunter Jumper Show Barn with a show team that competes at national and international competitions, including events in Europe and China. Red Coat Farm offers training and lessons for horses and riders of all levels and is led by head trainer Lisa Goldman. Since 1993, the farm has operated as a family oriented barn and encourages riders to support one another in achieving their goals, and many clients have been with the farm for over 20 years. In over thirty years of business, the farm has acquired a loyal and supportive family of boarders who greet newcomers with enthusiasm. The stated mission for daily activities is that they are designed to be fun, educational and are designed to develop horsemanship skills in young riders.
