Long Grove Farms

Long Grove Farms offers horse boarding, horse training, horseback riding, saddle breaking, horse sales, horse shows, and equestrian lessons. The program includes hunter/jumper training and trains both horses and competitors for A-rated horse shows across a spectrum of disciplines. It also breeds, raises, and races thoroughbreds, and sells, leases, and boards competitive horses, including top-quality horses from breeders located locally and abroad.

• Schedule: Open Tuesday–Friday with daytime and evening hours, and Saturday–Sunday during the day

Since 1989, Long Grove Farms has operated as a comprehensive equestrian center. Owners Shari and Mike Brickman are accomplished riders who have been involved in the horse business their entire lives and have been well-known and respected in the racing world for more than 30 years. The program’s stated goal is to offer a setting for riders of all skill levels to enjoy their sport and for horses and their co-riders to work together in a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment. Long Grove Farms is a member of the Illinois Hunter & Jumper Association and the US Equestrian Federation and serves families in the North Chicago area from Barrington to Lake Forest along Lake Michigan.
