About

Village of Lake Zurich Summer Day Camp includes outdoor nature projects, sports, games, arts and crafts, theme days, nature programs, and swimming. Camp Alpine is held in Paulus Park, and Camp Cedar will be held at the Chalet in Paulus Park.

• Ages: 3–12 years old
• Price: To secure a spot, you may pay either a $100 deposit for Kamp Kiddie or $150 deposit for Camp Alpine and Camp Cedar. A $25 late fee per child will be charged for payment not received by the final balance due dates. Lunch punch cards are available for $30 a week (5 lunches).

Camp Alpine asks campers to bring a sack lunch, snacks, a drink, a swimsuit, a towel, and sunscreen each day. The program uses the CampDoc cloud platform for camper medical and pickup information. Approximately 36 camp staff members work in the program, with staff ratios of 1:6 for Kamp Kiddie, 1:8 for Camp Alpine, and 1:10 for Camp Cedar. Kamp Kiddie and Camp Alpine each include a camper gift, and each session of Camp Cedar includes approximately 10 field trips in the cost, along with an option to use a pre-paid lunch punch card. Teen Camp has been rebranded as Camp Cedar with the same format but a new look and feel.

Camp counselors are hired based on their ability to be proper role models and their positive leadership skills, and they are described as enthusiastic and responsible individuals with strong communication skills who care about children and the importance of summer camp. The leadership team includes Recreation Supervisor Jenna Stanonik. The program’s mission statement is that it strongly believes in the power of play in growth and development through its recreation programs.
